It might be interesting to ask them to 'contrast & compare' the 'big ideas' presented in the Learner Variability session with what they already know or believe about learning. What key messages are similar to or exactly what they already know or believe? What's different about the concept of 'Learner Variability' - what haven't they heard before? How would the perspective that learner variability is predictable and systematic change how they plan lessons? I'd love to hear their views!
