Thanks for the feedback on Quizlet. That will be the next resource I check out. Anything that assists them with their vocabulary like flashcards and matching is so helpful. It sounds like a resource they can access from home as well. Thanks again Marcy
Comment by Ann M. Eppling on January 12, 2012 at 11:33am There were several resources that I wanted to explore. The one I began with was "Quizlet" which was listed under principle I: Provide Multiple means of Representation- Checkpoint 3.4- Maximize transfer and generalization. There were a number of resources here to help students study or memorize information. I used Quizlet to make flashcards for a list of Science Vocabulary. Many of the words and their definitions were already there! I made flashcards using several different formats. I printed them for the kids. The kids did it along with me - we also played a matching game with the words on the computer, that they loved. They really enjoyed this site- it was easier for them to make the cards and kept them engaged while practicing. I still have to figure out how to save the list and how to set it up so they can access the list on their own. I loved this resource and will use it again. We will see if it helped them on their Science test!
