Comment by Jenni Stern on July 31, 2012 at 11:18am It came to me via Facebook. It seems originally to have been on this page: https://www.facebook.com/asesorenaccesibilidad, which has a lot of other similarly inspiring pictures.

Comment by clare lovelace on July 25, 2012 at 11:08am For The Omnivore's Dilemma unit I found the following website to be helpful:
The documentary "Food Inc." has a website with a discussion guide, which includes helpful insights, lessons, downloads, printables, handouts and other materials. It also explains the Socratic discussion (even a handout for students on it) and several Socratic discussion suggestions with related graphic organizers and various handouts. The guide is in English and Spanish.
Go to the website, as follows:
http://voices.yahoo.com/using-food-inc-documentary-film-classroom-7...
Click on 'Food, Inc.' in the 3rd paragraph.
Click on Discussion Guide (English or Spanish)
Hope it helps!

Comment by Courtney Jones on July 24, 2012 at 3:03pm Acuity has performance tasks that we can use for Math and ELA. If you go to tests, then performance based assessments, then manage performance based assessments and rubrics, then click your subject and show assements and performance tasks will appear on the bottom. Click on the second to last column, view, and this will give you a PDF with standard, task, rubric and example of student work. Enjoy!!
