City Schools UDL Project

Information

Welcome!

Baltimore City Schools has received a discretionary funds grant to explore and prepare for Universal Design for Learning (UDL) integration to support the needs of variable learners.  UDL is currently being incorporated into MSDE curricula and all local school systems are expected to become familiar with the UDL principles.

The UDL grant that City Schools was awarded gives us the opportunity to familiarize interested educators with UDL principles and select a group of “pioneer” schools with which to begin implementing the UDL framework.  The Offices of Special Education and Teaching and Learning have chosen middle school social studies as the area in which we will begin to apply the UDL framework.

Please use this site to share materials, collaborate with colleagues and share your experiences with UDL implementation!

Hello everyone! I'm looking forward to becoming more conversant in UDL. These guidelines are so important for children learning English as a new language.

Hi! My narme is Hyweda Tajiddin and boy do I love UDL. It's our classroom of students who are yearning to learn and will if we only give them multiple access to learning....Have a great 2012-2013 year.
