Permalink Reply by Christopher Shamburg on April 12, 2011 at 10:18am I've done a lot of work in performance-based teaching methods for Shakespeare, and I've seen how they lower barriers for entry with kids and address executive function. There are some excellent sequences of activities that start with words, go to phrases, an lead to scenes. Kids trying on multiple roles, engaging their body, waiting for cues, and using their working memory. Kids can fun with the language is successful ways. Here's a good starting point for resources on it.
