Event Description

Join VSA Minnesota for a day-long workshop on Thursday, August 23, 2012, in partnership with the Minnesota Department of Education, when we explore how to design curriculum that supports a wide range of arts learners to be engaged and successful in inclusive educational settings. Through discussion and hands-on arts activities, participants will gain an understanding of the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to support learning for all students and how to incorporate UDL in their educational practice.

Participation via webcast will also be available to anyone with access to the internet and a computer. We will host a Livestream broadcast video and audio feed of the presenters and their slideshows in real-time over the internet.

Presenters include: Janet Peters, CAST UDL Faculty Cadre, Project Coordinator on Educational and Assistive Technology for the Great Lakes ADA Center; Kris Dooley, Occupational Therapist, Special Education Teacher, Assistive Technology Specialist, District 279; and Anne Krocak, Teaching Artist, Public Artist.
